Holy balls. This thing might actually be awesome! But let me get this straight…..I can’t get one with at least an 800cc engine until 2025? Wtf?

Do people even buy much for 600cc mountain sleds?

Cat better have monster of a motor/motors in the works. Bring back the 700 and 900’s. Give the 700 a long stroke and beefy crank so it makes decent torque then make bigger jugs to up it to a 900 and square off the stroke to piston diameter ratio to make the 900 happier up top. But what the fuk do I know besides I’m tired of seeing Cat take a back seat to the other two brands.

Motor specs will come into play, cuz the new injectors shoot through the pistons. Longer stroke is more piston speed and harder on parts. 82 mm X 80 mm bore and stroke is basically the ski doo 850. 84 X 81 mm by the numbers is 897cc. You could lower it but too square and it'll have issues. You have rod ratios, angles etc etc to worry about. The M1000 was 90.3 x 78.7mm bore to stroke, so 1.15 ratio (bore over stroke). New Ski Doo 850 is 1.04 and the Polaris is 1.18. In order to keep the engine height down, they might have to keep the stroke similar to now, not sure how it fits in the new chassis but that's a big consideration. Rod ratio will play a big factor in the piston wear with windowed pistons as side pressure increases, less surface area to support spiton skirts. Also, crank deflection........

Arctic Cat hasn't used slotted pistons in the 800 since 2019 on North American models. Some European used the slotted piston not sure if they still do or not.

Some riding footage. There’s more on his IG page.

With a real motor it could be a winner, by the time that happens though I’ll either be on a different brand or quit sledding all together so kind of too late for this long time cat rider me thinks.

Looks like it's able to lift even with the 600 ...more video would be nice especially without bullet time / slow mo edits

But that’s how you creatively make the sled look better than it is
