I have also contacted the Alberta Snowmobile Association and left message as well as the CCSO, the Canadian Council of Snowmobile Association, which got back to me in just a few minutes and asked for details.

Hi Everyone,
Seriously this is what needs to be done. According to the MLA Joe, Daryl and Gary met with on Monday, he said that everyone that writes a personal letter to the Minister, by law, the Minister must respond to. Tell everyone to do the same. It cannot be a form letter that people sign but a personal letter. aep@minister@gov.ab.ca
We have so many great ideas coming forth on what we should do. I would like to hold a meeting at our office on Thursday at 10:00 AM to discuss this, everyone and their dog is welcome. I realize some of you cannot make it but all that can would be appreciated. We had close to 16,000 hits on our face book page as of this morning on the town hall meeting, the media will be coming to the town hall meeting. Our MP John Barlow is trying to reschedule items so he can also attend. Whomever can make, great. Thanks, Gary

The following was some updated information we received this morning:
Hi Folks,
I want to offer some new information in regards to the comment below regarding the Crow Snow event. I know emotions are running high, and the park announcement has caused a lot of anxiety, so it’s understandable that there is concern. I was just on the phone with a local Forestry Officer, and Crow Snow Riders was not denied a TFA because of the High Rock Park. E&P needed more detail in the TFA, and it has since been resubmitted and they are working on the permit. Hopefully it is resolved quickly. Right now people are thinking the event is cancelled - I hope that is not the case.
I am unsure where the statement about the 6,000’ restriction is coming from and I would like to know more. According to my contact, the High Rock Park is only a proposed park, and it is not in place. This was first proposed in 2014 according to the map (attached). E&P has added a protective notification to the area. The local office is seeking clarification on what that means, and believes they will have an answer in a few days. He also said he does not anticipate this park being created at this time. I will be following up next week to see what the protective notification means specifically, and it might be a good idea for anyone who is concerned do the same.

to be clear on this, you need to have separate letter attached to the email right, not just the email? does just an email with a signature count as a letter?
as well, please clarify all the right emails to send it to. thanks. maybe get this on the other discussion boards as well.
i sent an email to Shannon Philips MLA office this AM. it needs to go to the environment ministers office and the premiers office right?

I filled it out c/w comments but it won't accept it. Is this just for our fine neighbours to the east even though it will affect us if OHV use is closed?

it should work .. or are you putting in a b.c. address .... i was chatting with my polaris buddy the other day and he said the way they operate has been very secretive the committee that was set up for this didnt have any of there recommendations even looked at ...
