Lost lake is a great area to ride lots of trails to different bowls I recommend going up by north kootenay pass and then into gardiner creek

I heard Brent was out there riding around on an M8T that he found......chewed up all the powder and didn't leave anything untracked......

Weren't you planning on riding down there this weekend? :D

Seriously though, did he call yet? The trip that I called you about got cancelled so we are going riding another weekend (probably the one before and the one after the 18/19 - I'm in Kelowna that weekend) if you want to come along. not sure where we are going yet.

I wanna see that kitty purr.

Im going to call him today, I turned around 30km after long view I was heading to Fernie, I was cut n fresh tracks with my truck from black diamond, 1-2 feet on the road and couldnt see nothing, doing 50km/h, truck went into limp mode so I turned around and drove back to black diamond to borrow screw driver to open up my air box that was filled with snow packed solid fawcking GMCs, had no tools with me no trailer with me, I was kinda pissed to say the least, as I got back to Calgary my buddie called from Castle he already did 2 runs at the hill and said there was 100cms, man I missed out but the light was chit,,,
ahhhh welll
yes lets make a plan to play with my kitty

Uh....... Is anyone still sledding....?? Sure is quiet on the forums this week.
Castle just got 84cm over the past 4 days with mild temps until sunday.
I would be all over that if i wasnt already going to Valemount and Blue River this weekend. Take pics and post them please!

Went sledding around Carbondale (north of castle) on Monday, had a blast. Lots of fresh powder but i think we will give it some time before doing to much climbing. We are heading back on Sat just to play in the trees and trails.

Instead of turning left at the Beaver Mines corner we turn right at next corner (1/2 mile or so further south) follow road to the steel gate and unload there. Head west on the road to a wide open area, if you go right it takes you to Lynx Creek campground or go left along Carbondale. There are a couple of ways to get to Lost Lake from there also. Does anyone know the name of the bowl when heading to Lost Lake but instead of turning right at the small steel gate we follow a trail straight thru the gate and the trees to a large bowl? One way in and out by the looks of it. Seems like it is one ridge over from Lost.

Your sign to turn West is Castle River Falls. That will take you to the Carbondale Hill staging area.
