The trickle down effect.... The govt has caused/implemented this inflation, and the cost of everything will go up substantially as the costs are passed on to the consumers.

Cost of fuel rises 30% from what it is now - everything will skyrocket - big county big transport costs.
You think your grocery bill went up in the last 6 months, you ain't seen nothin yet!

This is all part of central Canada sticking it to the west, keeping the economy here stagnant and making us dependent on federal handouts...Quebec and the lower mainland can convert easily to hydro power for most things, Ontario can piggyback to a large degree from Quebec hydro and use their nuclear reactors to provide the rest. The liberals can get a majority government just from Ontario, Quebec and the lower mainland as we’ve seen in the past. They’ll push these financially unworkable green energy plans, offer them to urban areas and subsidize them with carbon taxes paid by the rest of the country, the taxes carefully planned at a level that makes them just on the edge of affordability for people and small businesses. Large emitters in Ontario and Quebec will be exempted (as they are now) and resource companies in the west will be taxed into insolvency. Non EV’s will be too expensive to operate, both because of carbon taxes and lack of supply as refiners shut down. Over the last few years we’ve seen what happened to the Alberta economy when it’s deliberately targeted for destruction by the federal liberals. This net zero bull$hit will expand that destruction across the rest of Canada outside of the large urban areas the liberals control.

So I just did a little math, at $170/tonne that works out to $9.54/GJ for natural gas.

According to ATCO the average Albertan household uses 120GJ of natural gas per year, that's an additional $1144.80 per year just in home heating costs.

That also doesn't include the increases that will be passed on in electricity prices from the carbon tax being implemented on power plants.

And of course the increase in the cost of items shipped by trucks powered by diesel.

Brutal... 40 cents a litre more on gas, the damage done by two Trudeau’s in Canada is beyond belief. I really don’t know how the left thinks I just don’t.

How long till someone finally snaps? He's making enemies more than friends these days. Everywhere he goes now in public there is more booing than cheering. Maybe the most hated man in Canadian history.

Call it tin foil hat all you want but CANADA is on a bad path to socialism and I’m doubtful it can be stopped.

If all Canadians get the same rebates we out west will be worse off. The simple fact is we burn more carbon out here to sustain life.

People in cities like Toronto or Vancouver will love this, a giant carbon tax rebate cheque on a carbon tax they don't pay or pay very little of anyway.

Imagine what furnace oil is going to cost back east! They won’t be able to afford to heat their homes.

Only if they are also lower income. Anyone who makes a decent amount of money won't get any rebate, if a family brings in more then $63k right now no rebate. It's just a round about way for wealth redistribution that really hurts the middle class.
