Looking to buy a 16ft car trailer not enclosed. any suggestions on what to buy or stay away from.

Personally I would get a longer deck than 16' but if that's what you want and or need go with it. I had my current one custom built and added some custom touches for winch provision and so on. Other than the paint, it's a really nice trailer. At least it was sandblasted and primed then painted unlike most of your off the lot units which are just paint blown over rust and mill slag. I like tubing design myself over C channel as it's a lower deck height with the finished product. C channel units are double stacked for strength and tubing is not. Some people will try and say tubing can crack ( myself included) but you would have to seriously overload the hell out of it to do that...... and probably break springs and or axles first in the process.

Not all trailers are equal...... put it that way. And ultimately if you want a cheapie you get what you pay for. Good luck!

same one im thinking of, levesque trailers. had a look at one of thiers, looked really well built with a decent axle under it and very reasonably priced. they have ad's all over kijiji

Bought a 20' PJ equipment hauler, heavy 7000 lb axles, fir deck. It's been good to me so far ...been using it a bit this spring and summer !!
Bought mine at "Western Iron" in Lacombe......James really tries to be fair and get you what you need/want !!!
