$500.00 package left on my front porch while I was home. No knock, no doorbell ringing or phone call received. Lucky for Canpar I tripped over the package the next morning, it was wrapped in such a way to prevent water damage and it wasn't stolen off my porch.

I sent them an email complaint about it ten days ago and still no reply to my concerns. Beware of Canpar, they don't care about your property or your money. They went as far as saying on their tracking website that a signature was not available at the time the package was delivered. BS!!!

They'll never see my business again.:thumbsdownm:

Lol they shipped my box of 9mm ammo through Canada post....... I had to wait another 2 weeks because canada post destroyed it(they no likey ammo) and Canpar just blamed it on the post office. I said "the package is labeled and obviously canada post doesn't ship ammo fawktards why not use Purlator?" They told me they don't affiliate with purlator or any shipping companies other then Canada Post"

I called the supplier and he used a cracker box and didn't mark it as ammo so that the post office would ship it and didn't even bother with Canpar the second time around. What really pissed me off was the three phone calls I had to make to Canpar in the first place to find out where my package was..........dumbazzez.

I would rather have my stuff left at the door. I am in a good neighbourhood now so I dont have to worry about theft.

When the dumbazzezz do that just wait a day or so and call looking for your stuff. When it's not found they will have to make a claim and go good for the value plus when they replace it you get twice as much stuff. That's why Purolator insists on a signature from somebody. jmho

most shipping co will pay out the shippingvalue, only most people don't insure because of cost so they get like $2 /pound reimbused. not sure why people get so pissed.. it's kinda funny actually.

Had UPS leave a $1500 package a few years ago, and I was gone for a week luckily someone else was home to get it. One day, they knocked on the door and started unloading the 4 tires before they even knew I was home. They got balls leaving $2500 worth of tires and rims on a front door. I really don't care if it's left, no signature, not my issue if it goes missing.

But if it's a company sending it and not insuring it properly, it's on them. Been a while since I sent something of value but insurance costed nothing, I always went well over just in case.

One call to your credit card company and the moneys back if there is no proof of delivery.

I can honestly say I enjoy have a undeliverable rural address. My UPS stuff makes it fine....... Sometimes I have to fight with the shipper a bit, but a simple phone number is all they need. They transfer in Edmonton to Purolator who then takes anything rural to the nearest depot........ Being Clancy Graphics in Westlock. Perfection, everytime!
