Not all young people are lazy and jump from job to job because they dont want to do anything. Im 20 and ive been working a Project Coordinator at a Welding and Fab shop for 3.5Years. If the opportunity came for a job to further myself i would be all over it, but sometimes its hard to find something better expecially at a young age. Because most people look at you as if you know nothing or havent got any experience. When i can tell you i work with people from other companys every day who have no clue WTF their doing and you end up having to do it for them. and they are supposed to be Senior,or Managers.
But if i didnt have to work i sure wouldnt id be sledding and quading everyday i could.
totally, not every kid is like that (i still fall under the kid bracket)
But its the generality of the matter, Gen X started the trend and Gen Y is pushing it further.... we are used to having everything catered to us without doing anything for it from our parents, look at how many kids get University paid for them
so we bring that attitude and that sense of entitlement into the work place
combine that with the fact that every kid thinks he knows everything and you get one horrible workforce
like i said... generally speaking
and lets face it, 3.5 years experience is relatively a small amount of experience, though you do have a leg up on competition your age.
the more years i work, the more i realize how a little snob and know it all i was with my 3.5 years experience haha full od piss and vinegar as they say...... you'll know what i mean when you get there as well
and i'm sure i'll say the same thing 5 years from now about the person i am today....
