sno stuff and mbrp make the loudest cans , that i know of. It depends on what u want. U need to look at what u want in terms of hp. mbrp drops on average 10 lbs with the removal of the can and 4- 5 hp with the new can. every 10 pounds u lose, u gain 1 hp. if u drop the stock can and put on a mbrp youll gain approx. 6 hp, which is a considerable difference in a sled. I run a mbrp on my 800 and its loud and you can really feel the pull.

I might be wrong on this one, but all the indy 500's that i had,(91 and 98) have had a one piece pipe/muffler so you can't put a can on unless you go to a aftermarket pipe.

the y pipe has nothing to do with the pipe or can, and yes i forgot to mention that you could chop off the factory can/muffler and build your own. I made my own can for my rev last winter, i made it to the same dimentions of a buddies can on his summit. Sounds great to my ears and many others on the trails thought so to.

sorry, i forgot that if you get aftermarket twins for the 500 they don't use the y pipe, they use flanges. As for my can, like i said I made it to the same dimentions as my buds can, inside and out.
