Some are saying the introduction of wolves are helping the ecology of some U.S. wildlife parks..

Except the forgot about one thing.....the MOUNTAIN CARUBOU//////

Sure, let's introduce all the other animals, but snuff out the one that really effects us sledders..

Hope the vid works..

Thoughts?

Years ago There a was scientist that claimed the poop from the top (wolves) fed a small bug. That bug inturn was food for a beetle which would eat some plant. Then the plant would flower bringing bees. The bees pollinated trees. Which made food for bears. Which in turn ....... And so on. Anyways that's the jist of a 10 year old scientific discovery about how we humans know nothing about the earth and Mother Nature. In the blink of an eye she could correct all the damage humans (fossil fuel burners) could cause. This planet is fragile but yet so indestructible. We think we are so smart. Of course this won't reverse extinction. Good thing there's millions of caribou in the north.

Nature has a way of balancing itself. It's us Humans that tend to throw nature off balance. So to answer the question in your Post title. Yes I can believe this.

The amazing thing about wolves is when food is abundant they can have a dozen pups. When things are tough hey will have only 2-4 pups. Balance is all built in

Not really sure you can take a nature scientist too seriously when he doesn't know the difference between deer and elk! Got to admire his breathless enthusiasm.

Few years back in Cooke city we got talking to one of the restaurant owners. He said Yellowstone brought back the wolf into the park to take down the overgrowing population of buffalo. The wolf went for the easier kill, the caribou. The buffalo population still grows and the caribou is dwindling. He claimed the park kills up to 10 000 buffalo a year to control the population.

Interesting. Id like to make a vid on how '14 hydro electric dams change rivers'. In the mean time, maybe we should try more bears? See what that does....lol
