I've never had the front shocks make any sort of noise even when they were shot. I take it you had your dealer check it out? How many miles are on the quad and is it an 800 Outty? Is the winch mount lose? Tie rod ends clunking?

its a 500xt with around 1000km on it

deal says won't replace under warranty even know it is a shock failure

I had the same problem with my 2009 outlander 500.it was a broken shock on the left side. replaced it, now less than 1000kms later it is clunking again, same side. I have had a severe wobble in the front end since the bike was new, which you only feel on a road at 30+ kms, so the service people couldn't feel it driving around there lot of course. Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this to keep happening? Also I read that you can use a grizzly strut with a 2 inch lift kit instead of the stock can am one but is this really going to solve anything? The right side strut is just fine. I have 3500+kms on my bike.

My 07 500 XT sounds real bad in the winter but after it warms up no problem. We were doing trail work last fall and I was sure my struts were falling out of the machine. Spring no problem at all road all summer I have 5000 miles on it now
