Do you honestly want to snowcheck a sled when you don't know if it will be fixed properly or not? I was considering a Polaris and this was an important detail to me.

Cmon u know ur all starry eyed on the xm, a pro isnt even an option fur a doo boy lol.........as fur the clamp, hokey pokey yes, but it works and i dont ever think of a failure, totally forgot about it, i have 100% confidence that my shaft isnt going to grenade. Some people just looove to bitch

Haha I tried the Pro with an open mind and then the XM, the XM won cause apparently I'm a doolaide swigging doo boy lol. I agree the clamp works well just feel they should have redesigned the shaft so that it didn't need to have a 'fix' on it from the factory just like I expect BRP to do better with the oil tank/fuel nipple issue on the XM for next season.

Why would someone even do something so stupid?

I think it's a mistake that Polaris will regret. Many potential buyers are gonna go into the showroom and look underneath, and walk out saying they will keep their old sled... or choose another brand. It just shows lack of due diligence.

If that was the case, why use the clamp next year?

Just Sayin'

Whats stupid?? Contrary to belief, there not destined to fail. They don't just grenade upon ignition. Given, I've got the 'Proper' Polaris clamp on mine, but that doesn't make others stupid.

(added edit)
Afterall, it's not like an axle breaking will cause the sled to burn down or anything...

Stupid is bitching about something blindly.

People can say what they want. The people that bought these machines, and will continue to buy these machines are buying them because they are simply the best factory built chassis for technical riding. Yes, the reliably may not be 100%, but so what. If I wanted reliable I would have kept my Yammy.
I bought my '13 knowing full well there MAY be some issues, but at the end of the day, after seeing the places it has and can take me that my DOO couldn't dream, the risk is DEFIANTLY worth it.

Stupid is people who ride without the clamp, even though it's free and a warranty requirement. What part confuses you? No one's bitchin'.... but someone's just a little defensive.

So what did Doo come up with on the fuel line issue? I saw some pics online of the fix and it looked pretty cheesy, maybe it was just a poorly done installation. If the 2014 comes out with a new part will all the 2013 owners get it? I could ask this question on the S&M Doo forum but those guys get just as defensive as we Polaris owners Doo!
