Cadomin or Abraham Lake - Latest Updates

We are looking to plan a camping/ biking trip on September long and was wondering if anyone has recently been to Cadomin and/ or Abraham Lake. I know the Castle Mountain area is pretty impossible to get into now and overly restrictive in terms of the elaborate load up rules and such, plus all the trail closures.

Is the Cadomin area still fairly open? Or are we better off just going to Abraham Lake?
