I found some great deals on sleds in BC, and I have no problem going to pick one up, but I am concerned with getting it registered in Alberta. Anyone have any experience with this? I know bringing one from the US is a pain in the behind, will I be required to get an out of province inspection done on a sled? If I need to spend a bunch more money to register it, I will just find one in Alberta and avoid the headache.

Also, I will not buy a sled without a serial number on it. I can't believe how many I have gone to look at that have the sticker removed and the engraved number scratched out and covered with another random sticker. It's like the seller thinks I am a moron or something. I need to be able to register the sled to ride it in the mountains!

from province to province your fine as long as u have a bill of sale with all the info, your good. You could always get the serial number from the guy and do a check on it as well.Make sure no leans against it,because that could be come a pain.

I wouldnt buy a sled with a serial number scratched out. Way too many sleds out there are stolen and I dont need that hassle. No hassle buying in another province, sometimes you have to pay tax when you register it tho.
