Buying an acreage worried about the septic field.

Could be a normal system, Most systems are a pump out to the field either pressure distrabution or gravity from a distribution box or header system. Your best bet is ask for a inspection from a credited inspector then u are covered will cost someone around 500 bucks. If they wont do it drop your offer by 15k for just in case it is failing.

My pump in my tank quit. It was only 400 and I changed it myself. My field is out about 80 yards to the pasture and is only about 6 feet lower.

the out take on yer tank should be higher than yer field lines . i thought we all knew chjt flows down hill ?

Not always want effluent to drain either back to tank after pump shuts off to stop from freezeng. ch!t always runs down hill TO the tank.
