I have a 2004 SkiDoo Summit 800 159 track. I am thinking about a Yamaha Nitro for the next season. Any pros and cons.:confused:

There alot heavier that your skidoo, and you will notice that especially when boondocking. Once you install a turbo you will have a smile on your face and the sled seems to loose 100 lbs pretty fast. Or it seems that way.

If you are serious about a Yammy for the mountians, you should PM "GSR" on this site, he has been running a nytro in the Golden area for a while now. He is very helpful and he knows his chit!!

I switched 3 hrs ago. No regrets. Love the yami. Clean hands all day. Never took the hood off in the alpine yet. 11000 km

The only bad thing I can say about my t-nytro is when you reach the top and no one else can get up where you are stuck to help pull ya out!!

They might not be all that different weight wise. What's the dry weight of the 04 skidoo? HP wise they are likely very close as well (140 vs 135?).

The Nytro sure has a lot of hp adder options as well.
