Buying a new quad and unsure what to buy!!

I was looking at getting a new quad but have been out of the loop for sometime and was looking for some input, i have singled my purchase down to a yamaha grizzly 700 or a arctic cat mud pro 700 which is the better unit? i cant make up my mind. thanks

What really matters is what YOU are looking for... I say go test ride both units and see what You think is more comfortable for your type of riding style. Then let us know what you did...:d

I agree,.. all depends on your riding style and what YOU want from the machine.

Agreed with other posters. Test ride what turns you on, decide how you're going to use it, & what can you afford. Most rides are pretty decent in todays market.

BUT, don't wait for a bunch of biased, half baked opinions to pick what you'll be riding. Good luck & have fun.

This may sound crazy but I will never own another Arctic Cat Quad and I have had a few.If you baby it you may be allright but if your hard on em,Go Yamaha!

i have had many quads too and i choose the 850xp polaris, beautiful ride, and the ps is incredible, will not have another quad without ps.. my .02

I don't know too much about what the artctic cat quads are like but I know that the power steering on the grizzly's are nice to have and also seem to have great ground clearance... I like the look of the grizzley...IMO

ijust went threw the same ordeal a few months ago and spent months doing research on diff atv's. i was ganna go with the mudpro 700 myself and was a few days away frombuying it, when i started looking at polaris's if money isnt that much of an isue and you want not just a good quad biut somthing awosm youll love to death and gives you killer braging rights get the xp 850. imnot kidding i climb anything and everything go everywhere my buddys do and everywhere they wont dare. all i did was threw some new tires and an axhaust onit. but you dont need them at all i just did it for the wow factor.i ran itcompletly stalk and thier wasnt anything i couldnt do that al my buddys souped up quads did . and i looked and soiunded better doing it. do some reserch. the 4 wheel drive system is unbeatable. it doesnt use the same hydrolic spin systems as all the other quads. when you put it in 4 wheel drive its in 4 WHEEL DRIVE you wont spin any one tire itll always be all four.

ya im not sure if popo changed the front diff lock inside but the rzr's and the 800 sportsmans have a plastic lock inside the diff..... its so so gay i can't get y a enginer would do this........ so don't say its unbeatalbe.... cause i have beat it many times having to tow many popo's out cause all they have is 2x4.......

If you want to ride mud hard and go deep don't mess around

either get the mudpro or the new canam because modding quads when they offer these accessories is just crazy talk.

in the canam and mud pro you also have options of a 800R or a 1000 Tcat motors to choose from.

If you want to go ride comfortable and do Some but not to much in the mud all around riding types. the Grizzly 700 wont do you wrong but there are more options here.

the best advice i can really give people looking into new ATVS is .. Pick the quad that Suits what you TRULY want/desire not what you think you need at first.

if your the competitive type that will want more and more speed dont mess around just go get like a 800r Canam"mxr edition if you like mud" or a 1000 Tcat "mudpro edition if you like mud".

if your looking for comfort and couldn't give a damn about driving really fast then your options become alot more and require you to really go ride the ATV.

its like that quote that terry has - "the only bad ride is the one you missed" so pick the quad you deeply desire and go Ride.

Don't get me wrong i wrenched alot on my ATV and it was ok but if the options that are out now a days were out then id have went with the most complete powerhouse Mud atv i could have found because that would have suited what i wanted. if i was restarting over right now id own either the MXR canam or the Mudpro 1000 because i like riding deep and FAST !

all i can say is i love my 850 glad i bought it. great ride, tons of power, amazing storage if you get the front lock and ride box, and its been prety good for what i put it trough. I was really impressed with a grizzly 700 on the weekend though they seem to be good machines. Also the brute force is good to if you can deal with the over heating
