true, they are cheaper to fuel then a gas powered vehicle. This is because they don’t run on fuel they run on electricity, from a dam that was built by flooding a large area of bc forest and then hundreds of diesel and gas powered vehicles were used to dig a hole and pour tons of chemical induced concrete and wire and steel wherry things in the ground. The steel and wire used comes from another place called a mine that uses hundreds of fuel burning equipment and large amounts of explosives that are also chemicals....from a mine, to make it possible for some yah hoo to say I’m have a green car, I’m special look at me, I’m saving the world.
Let’s not forget how we got there.
Plus don't forget as soon as enough gasoline fueled vehicles leave the road, the gov't is only going to tax the electric ones to ensure they maintain the same tax revenue. So, there is going to be some kind of $0.45/L equivalent tax on electric vehicles to pay for roads and general revenue.

Valid point. I wasn't implying that a dam or any type of renewable energy has no initial energy cost. I'm just saying that if you really don't like the price of gasoline there are alternatives rather than just complaining about it.

Did we wake up in socialist ville?

Last I checked we lived in a free country with a free market.

If I bought a glass station in Leftcover and charge $3/liter and people were dumb enough to pay it .......... Then I would have benefited from sweet, sweet capitalism.

Unless they can prove some sort of price fixing scheme they just look like idiots for not understanding how market forces work.

If the citizens think they can do it cheaper, form a co-op and supply your own............

The west coast sheep have trouble connecting simple dots, I believe the highest cost for vehicle insurance & fuel. Cannot figure out why so a study is needed  So lets mandate electric cars & have one monopoly for supplying power.......

They also have to revisit Site C to see if it was necessary.......

You can lead the horse to water.......

Eventually the subsidies for the green energy schemes and EV’s will disappear. When that happens the industry will crater. It’s not economically viable, never has been and when the wind and solar farms reach the end of their lifespans, the companies that built/ ran them will be nowhere to be found. California is a perfect example of that.
