The wonderful Folks at BRP didn't take long to decide that my sled is not eligible for warranty, hopefully insurance comes through, its $4k in parts alone plus labour.

No racers edge does not have a tunnel length brace kit available for the G4 yet.

I sent Darryl some pictures and he is still trying to figure it out, makes no sense where it broke, no broken rivets or drop brackets cracking.

i wouldn't warranty that if I was them. Hopefully Racers edge helps out. Looks like a defect in their product.

was your fuel can on the furthest back mount?
I always used to put on the HD towing rear bumper and never had an issue and alway carried two BRP fuel cans on the tunnel and some time saddle bags also with two gallons on each side for Dore and Kakwa trips.
Never an issue, maybe get the HD bumper if mods or extra weight added. It does stiffen the the tunnel.

It wasn't rolled at all, nothin but tight tree riding the day it happened.

Jerry can was tight to the seat with a BRP bag that had an extra belt and a hoodie in it behind that.

I used to carry 2 jerry's on my Xm all the time with no bracing and had no issues.

I've run several other aftermarket skids, kmod, tom's, etc, and never added bracing, I honestly think the material used for new tunnels and the way they are stamped is an issue.

Hey Kanedouche, go poach somebody else's thread, I hear there's a positive 850 thread on doo talk, maybe hop over there and be a complete POS to them for a while and leave S&M alone. You're the last kid at the orphanage on adoption day bud, nobody wants you around. BEAT IT.

Kanedog 2015-2019, thanks for the good times S&M!
I will post wherever I want. Free speech and the internet is pretty cool.
I am sorry that your season has ended. Now Go buy a tunnel. Hopefully you can find someone to blame and to pay for your incompetence. Good luck. On another note, I have a few friends that had a similar experience except no aftermarket suspension. The situations are the same as yours. Normal riding, no stumps, rocks etc. They were able to save some money when buying a new tunnel tho.
In the meantime, enjoy the rest of your season.
