Should have used bolt trick.

Either I will have to cut the clutch of or get the puller to unscrew.

Try drilling it and using an easy out. Shouldn't be much for tension on it at all.

Buy a left hand drill bit (yes, they exist!). It might come out while you're trying to drilll it for an easyout.

I assume the puller was very tight. If so, heat the shaft with a propane torch.....keep heating it, it may pop. If it doesnt, if you can somehow shock the end of the broken puller with a hammer.....just whack it if it is protruding or insert a steel bar if it is recessed.....heat it up good and strike the puller, repeat as necessary and it will likely come off. Dont pound away on it, but a quick, sharp strike with a steel hammer usually does the trick.

Use the water method with the stock bolt,,will get the fixed end off the crank and will make it 10 times easier to easy out. had this same thing happen a few years ago on a buddys rev n last year i had the stock bolt stress break while i was riding,,ruined my primary from launching off at 50+ k n hr

If a person has there clutch off aften then the puller does good.

But the clutches that no one takes off gets the water-bolt method.

I have used boiling water over the shaft before with the puller tight ( didn't have thread tape ) and took a few batches but it poped. Guess it depends on how tight the puller was before it broke.

Think the boiling water was better than a torch. Just on the inner bottom of the ramp where the shaft is.

Is any of the bolt sticking out? You could plug weld a nut on the end of the bolt and get it out like that. And if you hook the ground to the bolt or nut you won't wreck the motor.

Most break off inside a inch or two ( just after where the threads are in the puller.

If the bolt is unloaded ie. not under tension or compession the LH drill might work. If it broke and has a ton of compression force on the bolt like when trying to remove a clutch, good luck.

X2.

If got it tight enough to break the puller then a l.h bit won't get it.

Still best bet is using it being tight and heat to pop it off.

Then u can l.h bit it once clutch is off if at all possible.

I ended up heating it up and it popped off. The bolt then easily came out. Was a bit nervous at the time of breakage, but a few beers calmed the nerves.

Got lucky there !
