Building my 2010 from the frame up......

Well for the ones that are interested in a frame up build and appreciate performance builds, here are some pics of my build on my Kwik Racing 2010 Can Am Renegade....
after 12600km it was time for a face lift... after i had the fire this June, we found out that the frame was toast... too many cracks and breaks after riding her hard for that many km...with all the power i have been pushing since it was brand new.. everything lasted pretty long...

here are some pics of my old frame... is you look close you can see all the cracks and breaks....my old frame was reinforced too but not as much as the new one is now... even with reinforcing.. riding fast woods takes a toll on a heavy machine like this especially if you dont drive like gramma...lol

Looks good! Should be a new machine after. But I have to ask, who did that welding? He should have his welder taking away!

Not being negative or dissing ya but would it not be more efficient to buy a new frame? Even with the welding you may find new weak areas, and still have an old stressed frame.

Wow, I know you ride your machine but I didn't think you rode it hard enough to get that much frame damage!

People these are gussets to prevent frame damage, the gen 1s had a few weak spots , so while the bike is apart now is the time to rectify those issues and improve on weak points .

New frame looks great, you are sure lucky that old frame didn't buckle on you as while you were riding it sure couldn't have been far off

That's my thoughts to! I know he has some crazy power and probably rides harder then most, I bet it was flexing pretty good while riding. Bet it will handle way better/different now!

This is a new frame... my old one is for the garbage.... the new frame was reinforced like that... yeah i know the welds are not the best but it will withstand a hurricane... lol it was done by a friend of Kevins....its strong thou... haha

my old frame was welded 4 times over the 6 years i have had it now...lol .... this time it was done.. no more welding... haha trash it is now... my old frame was even reinforced but not to this extend... this time we reninforced every where ... this is the way they do it on the G1 frames in the GNCC...

go back to the pic of the frame where the front diff bolt holes are oblong... lol ... thats torque and hp bady... i always ride in 4 x 4... best way to ride... thats from my diff wanting to rip out of the holes upon accereration... haha i will post it again here.... my diff was kinda hanging on.... lol..

Nope everyone needs to learn! But a frame that will be put to the test is not the place to learn! A frame is something that a true professional should be welding on. I see a few place that will start cracks because of the welds!

And wasn't trying to be an azzhole that wasn't my intention, sorry if I came across like that! I was just being a guy that has seen lots of stuff that has failed because of bad welds and stuff that shouldn't have never been welded.
