This isn't apples to apples but it will give you an idea about price increase for insulation.
For our sauna R12, 15” and a bag of 98 sq.ft. the cost in November of 2020 - $41 +taxes = $49.20
A bundle of the same thing in May of 2022 - $65 + taxes = $78.00
That’s approximately a 60% increase.
Ya , pretty Phu*ed eh

We insulated a shop this winter. 64x100 with 20’ walls. 2x8 walls strapped with 2x4. 2 doors 22’ and one 12x14. R50 (16”) in the attic. This is blown in cellulose walls and attic. Was $18000.
How do you do that with a metal shop , roof and walls ??

You can PL400 the mesh to steel studs for the walls. But to really pack cellulose we net the walls then put the wall strapping on before insulating. If your netting is loose you could have settlement issues in the future. We also do mid span blocking to prevent settling. It can be done be done but needs to be done right.

There is added cost to winter construction so a guy would really have to weigh that out waiting until fall

Depending how late you start and if hiring it all out and how fast they are. Could easily start early september and have it all done on the outside before winter hits or any extra costs from it.

That’s type of layout I’m thinking Semi& trailer melts off overnight. No frozen brakes in am - important as we get older and don’t fit under as easily to swing hammer at them lol
