Depends what class/classes you want to run? Also how fast you want to go? Skidoo CK3 chassis, set up as prostock with a 700 or 809. Clutch it right and the 700 will run in a few classes, 800 will run in lots of classes.

This would be the sled to use as they are still competitive today

FireCat was my first thought as well. What years had the chain case?

I was searching kijiji for a Mach Z 809 and it seems like thereading are few and far between.

Would a 121/128 or a 136/144 be better for drag racing. Especially 660 feet. Seems like the longer track would give a much better holeshot and that's key in such short races.

A stock 800 will let you run the most classes most snow drags have changed track length to 500ft now. Stock 800 and 1000 are very competitive not very many 600-700 running anymore. If it was me I'd be looking at 800 with a 144 or 146

I've been keeping my eyes open for an 07 800 XRS as well. Main reason for this is, I believe I still have parts(aftermarket head,Clutch kit, Gears and chains) at my parents place for my old one.

What about a V-max 4? My uncle had a 92' and it was fairly quick back then. Seemed like he won most races/radar runs he attended with it.

Lots of those kicking around but usually needing a rebuild.

Firecats rip pretty good. Maybe even the later crossfire r 800's not sure how competitive they are though.

Can get you on a 99 mach 1 cheap. Do some porting, Jaws pipes and clutching and you're ready for 700 improved stock
