And where abouts is these roads:confused:

When is the best time to go ?

Its never too early in the season to go. In fact the wetter the better cause the sand is packed down and you can really haul a$$.
My buddy was out there last week on his dirt bike and said it was awesome.
Probably isn't much snow at all with this warm weather we've been having.
Just put the battery charger on the Raptor yesterday and am ready to go.
Yeeeehawwww.

I don't know about it being shut down But I see people going into the park from the end of the dunes and if they keep that up it may be a possibility, and you want legal machines there if you don't want a ticket.

call your insurance company and ask about out of province temp insurance.

call an alberta registries and find out about temporary tags. they may have them available. havent heard of it but you never know.

your truck/trailer will be fine, the road wasnt that bad the last time i was out there.

there is random camping and a provincial campground there as well. no cabins or anything. it isnt a resort. nearest place to hotel it would be hinton about 15 minutes away.

no flag needed

spark arrestor is mandatory. you will get a fine if you dont have one. i dont know what else they can do but i would suspect that the fish and game guys can impound your machine as well. and it is a good idea to have one anyway. dont want to burn down a forest do you?

and i defintely wouldnt suggest outrunning the cops or whatever. there is a mandatory one year jail term for that offence. and it might be a little hard to outrun a helicopter anyway.

Man alberta rules suck hairy *alls. How would my quad set a forest on fire? I just dont get it people try and say that *hit here too as there running D6's loaders and excavators in the bush and NO fires Hell i run a John Deere 744H in the log yard at the mill everyday with bark and logs all over the place...nope no fires:eek:. Is it just the albertan gov that has to much oil up there *ss or whats up with the rules like that I just cant justify buying 2 sparkys to use once, i would just risk it and pay the fine ...would be cheeper anyway. thanx for the info bro!

ride at night with some buddies. best place to see the sparks would be on a downhill with some engine braking happening. that is when i have seen the sparks. anyway spark arrestors are cheap. should be able to get them for under $25. the fine is $230 i believe. quite a bit cheaper. and the big equipment and cars etc... probably have something built into them. i'm not a mechanic so i cant say for sure.
