Today we were at the Bruderheim area and a few young guys came up to us asking if we had a cell phone, there buddy was hurt. We did, I called 911 while my other buddies went over to offer first aid and assistance. First I knew I was deep in the eastern pit but not knowing what range road I was on or township I didn't know what to tell the 911 operator. I just let her know to head straight through bruderheim and head north down the gravel road, I would drive down that road and try to find out what the Range road was. And I would call back. So I headed almost back in to Bruderheim found a sign and called back, gave them the info. She said to be ready and the Fire truck and Ambulance will follow me, in just a few minutes they were allready up to me and I leaded them to the pit. They had to cut the lock to the gate which was a chor as it was quite tight on the chain, so the paramedic lady asked me to give her a ride to where they were. I took her to the injured guy 'Josh', I believe. They had him covered up and stablized. She started emergency first aid. The Fire truck and Ambulance took the trail in rather than the road, but they managed to make it. Just a little bumpy for them. While they did there thing put him on a backboard as he was in alot of upper back pain and was injured. We took his bike back to the road and his and his brothers stuff back to there truck. Hopefully he is ok, I gave his buddy a card, to keep us informed about his condition. Well, I learned somthing, know the range roads a little better so you will always have a good where abouts of your location. And thanks to the Bruderheim Fire department for showing up so fast.

Great job guys. We were out at Bruderheim this weekend and were wondering what happened when we saw the Rescue Unit. So thanks for the information. Figured it would be on the forum somewhere as I saw a trailer with the Mud & Snow banner on it in the staging area. Was that the kids bike that was being loaded on a truck or was that someone being hauled away for some other violation.

They had the white new Ford truck and open trailer in the staging area. It was a dirt bike on that jump in the back eastern pit. As far as I know as his friend PM'd me is that his injurys were serious, and not confirmed yet as they had him at the Legal hospital and had to take him to the University hospital, his injurys that were given to me were a broken back, pelvis and possible hip. He was moving his fingers and arms a little so I hope he has no spinal damage. We kept him pretty immobile untill the paremedics showed up. We are all wondering how he is now doing, his friend who joined the site can you let us know.

Regards,
Ron
