Seriously, how in the hell do you ship a sled that isn't serviceable? That's nuts.

Valcourt, Quebec, May 5, 2021 – BRP (TSX: DOO; NASDAQ: DOOO) is opening the first and only corporate vaccination centre in the Eastern Townships, at the Aréna de Valcourt. In collaboration with the CIUSSS de l’Estrie - CHUS, BRP is committing to administer, at its own costs, between 15,000 and 25,000 vaccine doses against COVID-19 from now to August 2021. These vaccines will be available for BRP’s employees and their families, as well as for members of the local community who wish to be vaccinated.
BRP prides itself on its strong involvement in the community, and it was without hesitation that the company answered the call to corporations this past March from the Minister of Health and Social Services, Christian Dubé. For the past several weeks, BRP has been preparing the Aréna de Valcourt in order to administer more than 1,000 doses per week as of May 10. BRP is one of 13 corporate vaccination sites to date that will be contributing to the vaccination effort in Quebec.
“We’re very proud to be participating in the fight against COVID-19 and contributing to the health of our community. Health and safety have always been a top priority for us and we’re putting all necessary measures into place to maintain the health of our employees, their families, and our fellow citizens. We’re thrilled to do our part and give back in this way. We’ll eradicate the pandemic by working together,” said Éric Lebel, Vice-President, Human Resources, Product Engineering and Manufacturing Operations at BRP.

Looks like most new BRP products will be shipping without RF transponder keys due to chip shortage. On the 2022 Sea Doo I ordered the brochure has the RF transponder key flagged as subject to availability. Read on a seadoo forum that it affected some late model 2021's as well. Guys could start a 2021 model with any BRP key because the DESS/RF transponder was not activated.
For those that get new products better keep em locked up cause I imagine that once word gets out that the security system is inactive that thefts will be on the rise.
Also, for anyone shopping in season BRP has added a Commodity surcharge to all their new products. Anywhere from $400 to 500+ plus depending on model due to cost of "materials"

that wont just be BRP. All of these materials come from the same place. They might not be upfront about it but it will be in the price of the units one way or another

It’s happening, it been happening to the automotive sector for awhile, it was only a matter of time before it trickled down to the recreational industry.
The crate is flagged, or marked in such a way that identifies the sled as being incomplete. Some, not all Doo snow checks are arriving at dealers partially assembled. I’ve also seen pics of the parts missing on snow checks.

Damn, I'm not telling the wife, I'll let the dealership break the bad news to her and I'll stand aside and watch the fireworks.
Talked to local dealer this morning to get an update, told me they have received about 30 sleds and out of those 3 are actually complete and ready to be sold! The rest are there but need various components and they haven’t been invoiced by Doo for them yet! Not sure if I’m getting to whole storey but it seemed to me that the dealer really doesnt have much of a clue what’s actually going to happen either.

The nice thing is BRP is not invoicing incomplete sleds till they actually have parts to complete the sleds in the dealers hands. They must be getting soft on the dealers lol
yah $hitty for these dealers, granted they don’t have to pay for the units, but cant generate expected revenue from the stack of crates filling up their yard,

Dealers are doing ok. Could be better sure, but doing ok. Full retail for everything and completely sold out of available stock. Service will be through the roof for all the newbies getting into sledding. Numbers are way up.

Any other manufacturers hitting the panic button yet? Surprisingly quiet from Polaris and Cat or have I just missed it? Thinking about it, I'm sure Maxwell would have made a huge fuss on here as he is always the first to try and make Poo and Cat look bad.
