The fit and finish of the panels on these is spectacular. Even small gaps, much better than the g4's.
I would agree, I've been into a few dealerships in the last few weeks, no shortage of G5's awaiting pickup and I've had a good up close look at probably 15 of them, and they look far better than the G4's. Kinda reminds me of the XP to XM transition.

I guess there has been a few people who enjoy tree riding that are catching and breaking the clutch panel vent due to the trees catching a small protruding lip.
there's a thread on snowest about this. seems a handful of guys have already broken the vent off.

But doesn’t look like these will solve the lip issue…

Yep that lip is a issue.

Is that a "fit and finish" problem or a bad design? It sounds like if guys are aware of the problem before they ride, they should be able to apply some type gaurd or heat that edge and smooth it down?

In them hills.
Poor design, but this looks like it was clipped pretty good,. especially with the ski being outside the body now by a couple inches.

Bad design running vent to edge of panel.
Easy fix with three 1/2" diameter X 1/4" high round head Stainless Steel bolts, bolt shank of 1/4" is lots.
Install one top, middle and bottom 1/4" in front of the high points in panel next to vent.
You will have 3 nice always shiny bumpers to deflect the old growth forest before it can snag the vent.

If you want to stay color matched and light weight just drill 3/16" hole and put in the plastic dome head buttons with teeth on the shank and even span the vent joint so nothing snags.

Easy tweak.

Got mine, the fit and finish I think is the best yet on these G5’s.

I took a knife to the sharp edge to that vent and rounded it off. If I smack a side panel off something that solid and that’s the only thing that breaks than it’s a good day in my book.

I also bought a spare vent, they are cheap.

Just the ones b!tching ohhh my brp won’t give my deposit back… air your laundry 🧺 in your own back yard.

No im asking about the one your girl friend bought. In your post you said it was a non snow check. I am just wondering if dealers have any in season models this year. I didnt think they were going to, but if they do im happy about it.
