With Hall,Ebbs,Nuge,Gagner,Hemsky Gilbert,Smid,Petry, and a few #awesome propects in the minors the future looks pretty dam good. Throw Grigorenko into the mix and the rest of the team can be bought, traded, etc ,the core is there !!!

Two wild cards though.
Can Tambi find a goalie and surrounding players both fast enough and cheap enough.............................???

Delete gilbert off that and you got it right! He's good for a 5th or 6th d-man and that's it.

Okay Cycle, I put in a phone call, Gilbert is gone!!!

Never been a fan of Gilbert. He had a few good games this year, but overall his performance sucks.

For Nick Schultz...deffinetly not an offensive upgrade, but slightly tougher than Gilbert. Actually Sam Gagner is tougher than Gilbert. :)

I so called that one. It was a good move on Edmontons part for once.

I was hoping for a blockbuster move, Bulin gone for a pick, Gagner, Omark and their first in 2013 gone for hmmm Nash. Not a Nash fan but I'd trade two smaller forwards for a bigger forward any day.

One thing to think about...........................

current Oilers management are former Canucks from the "dark" periods of their history.

Things that make you go hmmmmm.
what part of thier 42 year history is NOT dark? THAT makes me go hmmmmm.
