Was his day off.If the guide was working then he would be classed as impaired wouldn’t he?
Seemed like alot of work.
Where’s Gnave? Gnave’s not here....
May as well baked some brownies on the wood stove.Come to think of it yes that is odd, most sledders try to pack light.. Maybe they towed the skimmer with portable meth lab so lots of room for gear?
smoking is smoking, keep it outside to respect others choice to not partake
I have a medicinal prescription and very very rarely smoke on the hill. 20yrs as an ironworker and a broken neck from sledding I find the pot far better than the opiates they dealers(DR) peddle. But, I would never be so inconsiderate to smoke in or close to the cabin but the pothead moniker is pretty old. A lot of "potheads" are well functioning members of society. Hockey coaches, school volunteers, business owners, managers, etc. IMO alcohol is far worse drug, I would take a pothead over a drunk any day of the week. Most guys are respectful with the smoking I have found, but I am no spring chicken, maybe us old school guys may be different. Not all "potheads" are timid 150lbs gamers that will put their tail between their legs and run, but I 100% agree with the premise of this thread...take that **** outside away from the masses. But if somebody gets in my face about I will have no problems furthering the discussion
Buddy and I were up on Boulder last year on a Wednesday.
Stopped at the cabin for a warm up and one of Shady's guides had a 1ft bong out on the table and a soldering torch, doing dabs @ 10 am.
Was his day off.
Well I asked him what he did in town and he told me he guided for Mark...So it wasn't really one of Shaede's guides just some local blazing in the cabin? Your first statement could be misconstrued as slander towards Mark's operation.
This past weekend was an awesome early ride for my group, great early snow conditions, decent weather and overall our sleds ran great. We sign in and out at the cabin like we are supposed to but on friday when my bud signed us out he said that there was 4 or 5 guys smoking pot in the cabin, said it reeked horribly. Unfortunately he told me this on the way home and I lost my s/!t which maybe was wise because if I knew at the time there would have been some loosers getting there asses kicked right out that front door. This leads me to many questions, what makes them think that they have the right to lite up in the cabin, what were they thinking? Does the cabin clearly state inside that there is to be no smoking, drinking or coarse language? No smoking means no smoking of anything does it not? So what has to happen now that weed is legal, should these scum be allowed anywhere near the cabin smoking there joints? Can they stand outside on the balcony and lite up? This is a cabin that quite often has young children in and around it, what should the ruling be? Also you have these people getting stoned and driving around the hill baked outta there minds, are they going to hurt an innocent person?, absolutely its just a matter of time, or better yet going down to thier vehicles and driving home endangering more people just in an 8000 pound weapon intead of a 600 pound one. I think that the snomobile clubs need to enforce something but better yet I call upon any civil person that encounters any of this lunacy to stop it immediately, there has to be many more responsible snowmobilers than there is scumbag pothead loosers that call themselves snomobilers. I want a zero tolerance around the cabins myself and there is no excuse or exeption to make it acceptable, I cant stop anyone from smoking on the hill but I guess I think that they deserve whatever happens to them as long as they dont kill someone else in the meantime. There is some very important sponsers that will want no part of this pot problem I am sure so lets band together and nip this early if possible, unfortunately this is one of millions of problems that are going to arise in our future, mark my words, cant wait to hear your opinions but please think of this as a post to raise awareness and keep this problem of our future at bay, we have enough people trying to take our riding areas away, lets not give them any more reasons please..... Rant over.
So just to reiterate Catman10 post ... I was the buddy whom went into cabin to sign us out at end of day. As I walked up steps yup you could smell and when I opened first set of doors it was thick... I signed out and then opened second door and it was like a cannon went off in there. There was 4-5 guys looked at me and had the look of WTF you going to do about it. Typically I would say something however I tweaked my back that afternoon and just didn’t have it in me so I just left. I didn’t say anything to our crew awaiting me when I came back out. I should have said something yes but I just wasn’t wanting confirtation.
I understand it’s legal now but that cabin was built by donations and people whom donated there time as I find it very disrespectful more so for that. It’s a gathering place for shelter, break, warm up etc not to be abused. I have no issues with people using it for medicinal purposes as they need it.. not saying in cabin. However most or all medicinal users are respectable towards others I’ve found.
So my bad for not addressing them....
