Enlighten me. What is a mountain rider? Maybe a poll would help.
Only ride above 5000'?
Only ride chutes?
Tight trees?
How about bowls?
Is a turbo required?
4' powder or more only?
Min 163" track?
Must do 50' drops or regularly catch 50' of air?
Sleds only or bikes?
Can anyone self identify as a mountain rider - even if riding a 121' x 1"

How about it? What is a mountain rider?
Actually thought that it would be interesting to see if there was any consensus and if so how it matches up with sled choice...
Right now a mountain rider appears to be far more generic and broad term than a trail rider.

For me, mountain riding is getting back into the mountains away from the crowds. It doesn't matter what brand you are on, how long your track is, or how much hp it makes...just getting into the back country, of the beaten path, and go ride. I don't consider those who hang around the cabin a mountain rider at all. They could be on a custom built $60k sled with 175 track and 400 hp, wear $9k of klim gear, and I would not call them a mountain rider...a poser yes...
