Hoping to see if anyone know what fluid Neil used for the intercooler. Looking to fill, the stuff in there now is orange in colour.

5 year extended life premixed antifreeze. BRP, Dex-cool, Turbo Power, HD Expert. I'm sure its all the same as its orangish and organic acid technology.

Coolant colors are a shitshow now and really cannot be relied upon. The main thing is not to mix the 3 basic types. IAT, OAT and HOAT
I agree with Bendy, orange is most likely OAT, and compatible with most common extended life varieties. Be careful if you're just grabbing some bulk from a buddy at a fleet diesel shop though.
If the coolant is more than few years old, or you need add a significant amount, a quick flush and refill with fresh is a safe bet.

I have started using this after warranty on everything, gas/diesel etc, makes life easier. I read on the interweb.. that this is Ford New Yellow as well.
I don't flush unless there is a problem just a good drain and fill but you do you!

Don't overthink it. There's nothing special in the intercooler system that needs anything fancy for coolant, it's only a couple aluminum heat exchangers, the pump and the hoses.

You're not worried about dissimilar metals, galvanic corrosion or anything like that here.

Nice to have green in the motor and orange in the intercooler so you know which is leaking?

Added Water Wetter as well to the coolant, I did when I was there rebuilding my Nytro, spend thanksgiving weekend doing that at Neill's place, I still remember the wicked beef stew his wife made.

Interesting, this will make my 6.7 coolant changes a bit cheaper I think

Thanks for the link!
