Your statement is kind of vague. Are you interested in purchasing a 174T? Do you have one giving you grief? Which kit are you looking at? I ride a stock 174 XM now and I get around pretty well wherever I want. If you’re going to boost, I would absolutely consider a different skid as turbos will turn it into a wheelie monster.
My previous sled was a T163 XP with a TSS side mount, 7 pounds of boost on Av-gas and it was a riot, but it comes at a price. You WILL become very familiar with your sled, so if you aren’t interested in tuning or wrenching on the hill, I would think again about buying one. Saying that, they are addicting, and once you’ve had it it is hard to go back.

I would strongly recommend if you're going to turbo a XM look at the indy dan billet crank and a aerocharger kit. Seems to the best combo set up, coupled with a P85 primary and team secondary clutches.

Kanedog 2015-2019, thanks for the good times S&M!
No bad experience and I have not rode with one. Here's what I seen on the net-
Seen a ton of complaints that they won't run right. Seems like its hard to get turbos to work with the Doo 800.
Seen lots for sale. Non say "runs great."
Saw just a couple of vids of good running turbo t3's.
Saw quite a few used t3 turbo kits for sale. Ya know, the pile of oarts in a cardboard box. Stay away from used kits being sold in a cardboard box imo.

#1. Aerocharger is the WORST turbo to put on your xm. the fueling is complete junk, and will surely have u tuning that pos dobek box on the regular

Bad. Not good.

turbo xm's are finicky due to the crappy rave valve system that they have BUT some guys got it figured out.
Kanedog is rite to a point ... buying a used turbo is a very large gamble unless you go in there knowing what you are looking at / for.

Always heard great things about Boost-it, met Neil once on the hill and he was always there to help.

I would also stay far away from boost-chit no one supports them any more... from my experience your just buying someone else’s problems when you buy a used turbo sled.... I wish you luck tho

I would steer clear of both of these machines. Stock they were excellent machines. Boosted, not so much. Very low mileage for both machines imo.
