Good eye. Looks like a coil over shock mounted horizontal. You can just see it in front of the rear drop bracket.Where's the torsion springs that skidoo has been using since '92? Don't tell me they figured out how to build a skid with out them!
Called the PPS suspension. Some local guy in Europe developed it, apparently it is 10% lighter. Was brought into there lineup in 2006. I am sure the developer has some pretty tight patients on it.

Edit... The shocks they run on the Lynx are pretty safisticated compared to a summit x... Electronic dampening control which you can adjust on the fly and separately from the front and rear.
the Lynx snocross guy is pauli piippola (pauli piippola suspension)
the euro 'doo versions are heavier but a lot tougher than the north american offerings. and almost double the price.
