I hope polaris has got thier $h!T together with their new 800! couldnt pay me to ride a time bomb like the 07-10 polaris 800! I guess if you ride one of these sled you should have a spare engine sitting in the truck like most people carry spare plugs lol! I heard polaris is making a new rack for the back of these sleds to carry a spare engine......instead of actually finding the reason why the 800 blow up! come on Polaris....time to stop all the reflashing to cover up the problem!

This is useless information!

Benson...best of luck!

On one of our trips to Revy this year I seen a younger gent unload his summit out of the trailer, start it up and pin it wide open across the lot. No warm up of any kind. Not trying to start anything but I would imagine this has a lot to do with a lot of the burn downs you hear about. When I used to run two strokes we never moved them until we could feel heat in the exchangers. :twocents:

thats why the new e-tec has a warm up mode now! ski doo are protecting there asses better now. look at how long the oil and break in clock they have now.

If you own one then bitch if not then keep your negative comments to yourself.
I own one and it runs good.I will have to work on it but thems the breaks, they don't make them like they used to.

Im sorry I got out of Polaris last winter......just not worth the risk any more!(time bomb) oh and I used to work at a Polaris dealer and saw way to much....engines toast anywhere from 15 miles (oil pump fell off) to a 1000 miles.....yes guys on 4-5 engines in one year! but I know nothing about them 800! but like I said at the beginning.....I hope Polaris got their $h!t together on the NEW 800!

Well I hope all Polaris owners the best of luck with there 800's and that Polaris does fix the issues, it's no fun when your ride leaves you stranded, I don't care what the brand is.

My 09 hcr made it 34 miles before it siezed. and I should have taken the hint then! It now has 342 miles in three seasons with another 8 thousand for the turbo and new rails that bent like pretzels after a 6 foot drop into a creek.

At least with a polaris, I would be expecting it to blow up so every ride i get is a bonus instead of expecting a great ride with my cat and getting towed out by a skidoo time and time again.

sounds to me like the sled is not the problem:rolleyes:

They all have their issues, son had an 07 800 Renegade that we could not keep belts on. He bought an 08 M8 and the ECU went out on it at 350 miles, my 08 800 Dragon has 1800 miles on it and not one problem. They all get towed out at some point, buy the sled that you like to ride!!!
