Blue River Grooming

Steve is back, and groomed the North Blue trail last night.
The new drag is working great.

He will be grooming Finn (Groundhog/Salmon) trail today.

The girls will be out at the booths,so bring your smile and donation.

keep in mind that the trail is soft, so please keep a steady speed and dont punch it out of the corners everyone, dont want these trails whooped out at the end of the first day

Hi All,

Steve groomed Ground Hog and Salmon late last night.

The bottom 2.5 kms of the trail has exposed gravel, with some snow patches on the edges.

From 2.5 km to 10 km is very hard compact, and scratchers are a must.

Ground Hog trail end had 4+ inches of new snow. Salmon Lake cabin has 3+ inches of new snow. Snow is in the forcast this week, so keep your fingers crossed.

Steve will be grooming North Blue tonight.

The girls will be at the booths, so don't forget your smlie and donation.

No, not everyday right now. We have attendants out for 2-3 days after the trail has been groomed.
There is no system to figure out, it's what the club can afford to do.
We are doing the best we can. Our only support system right now is the riders that donate at the booths.

Hi all,

With the late season logging operations removing are early season snow, the trail is going fast........However we have plowed the road to km2.5 and have a large turnaround for truck and trailer units.
If everyone parks with respect for others I think the area will handle 12 to 15 large units. There is also room for more at the swithbacks. If you have sevral units in your group you could unload at 2.5 and shuttle to the parkinglot.

On the good side the trail is in very good shape from 2.5 on. Scratchers are recomended as the trail is frozen hard in the morning.

We will still be collecting donations at the trail head, to try to cover the cost to the club.

Hi all,

Just wanted to let everyone know because of all the warm weather we will not be grooming the Groundhog/Salmon trail befor the weekend. We did what we could last week to make a turn around and parking at 2.5 km.

The North Blue trail was groomed Saturday night.

As part of our S.M.A.'s we will have attendents at the booths over the weekend.

If you are riding any of our areas in Blue River this weekend PLEASE be careful.

Hi all,

We just want to let everyone know a few things.

1) THANK YOU for all of the support this season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2) We can't groom the trails anymore, SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!

3) Groundhog/Salmon you will need to park up the hill @ 2.5 km there is a turnaround, go early, no more then 10-15 truck and trailer units will fit. Only if everyone parks like a nice person. The bottom of the trail 3-10 km is not good, ice and gravel. We have had fresh snow up top, but the trail is rough.
The BRPP has no connection to the Salmon Lake cabin. It is now a Trappers Cabin, so stay away unless you have a life threating emergency.

4)North Blue you can still park in the parkinglot, the trail is rough and going fast. There are creeks washed out at around 25 km and one more around 28 km, you will have to be creative to get around them. PLEASE don't use the back-country ski trail to access the riding areas. REMINDER to all, Holy Grail, White River, Paridise, Big Blue, and Horseshoe are CLOSED as of April 15th.

5)Yes, we will have attendents at the booths. We have to count rider numders and relay wildlife and avalanche information as part of our S.M.A.'s.
