I recently quadded into the Blue lk cabin and was wondering which snowmobile club it belonged too?It seems like it,s between Hunters and Owl head. Also what is the easiest way to access it in the winter as it looks like my kinda riding?Cabin is also one of the nicest I have ever seen

It is a nice place to ride especially during the week when you have the whole area to yourself..there is a staging area for blue lake ran by the Sicamous sledding club. Its ttowards Revy on the right hand side...25km out of town if my memory serves me..

Blue Lake is great, lots of different terrain, ride with people who know the area, its not hard to get down in some deep holes back there. The "training hills" are directly across from the cabin. Pick up a area map from the Sled Sicamous group.

Owl's Head is closer to town, also a great area. There are even more areas to explore, no need to give them all away though in one post.

If you can read the labels this shows cabins and staging areas. You can right click on image and save then zoom in on it.

Where can I get that program?

You need Garmin Mapsource to start and then a topo map like Topo Canada or Ibycus topo. If you have a gps I can hook you up with waypoints to most cabins and staging areas in BC

You can no longer just download mapsource off the garmin website as it's a web update now BUT if you download the file "training centre" install it then you can do the mapsource update.

We are supposed to get lots of snow up high this week, bout 24 inches right now. Have a group from Edmonton at the Lodge starting Thurs. so it better dump!
Hunters Range mountains extend from Ashton Creek to Three Valley Gap. South to North riding areas are Hunters, Owlshead, Blue Lake, and Griffin. Quite a large area and offers deep pow and all types of riding with great chalets! Ride safe and see you up there. Cheers, Rene. My wife and I love Blue Lake as well but lets see some pictures if possible. Is there actually enough snow up high to ride or do we have to keep waiting for some more snow?
