Good to see Doug leave his "home turf", or should I say "home snow", and ride some where else. How was the grooming in the master's eye opinion?

Hey Dusty, every once in awhile I dig out the sock from under the mattress for a road trip!!

The trail(s) were terrible into Owl's and Eagle. Kirkup was groomed the night before so it was smooth in the morning. I felt sorry for the operator's as I'm sure they receive the wrath but not knowing what the set-up temps were I'm not one to complain. If it isn't freezing (and i don't mean just below 0 either) like -5 and lower, then it is soft and goes to moguls pretty fast. Mother Nature has her ways and we're not about to change that!

PS where is this "master's eye" coming from? A new term you have dreamed up?

Do you need chains for that? That is what is on the eagle valley website but really?

yes they recommend chains on, but if you have decent tires there likely won't be an arguement from the pass collector. No one I saw up there had chains on.

Thinking to my self that is it he is in trouble, get over the ridge and he pops up through this invisible space between two trees and he says good snow today.
