Blowed up stator rant

So back in April, while warming the sled to load on the trailer for the last ride, it just....shut-off. Turned out to be the stator. The good ole' ski-doo recoil strikes again, apparently I did not get all the pieces out from the previous recoil explosion.....better in my yard than trying to climb out of the Butterfly bowl I guess.
Does anyone know of an on-line or otherwise reasonable place to get a new stator ('02 800 doo)??
Can anyone fathom the amount of money that ski-doo has made from them building faulty sh-- in the first place!!!

I am almost 100%(can't remember the name) sure there is a company in edmonton that can rewind the stator for you and it would be a little cheaper.
