Has anyone purchased the BB Playbook tablet? We've bought 3 for work so far and I'm pretty impressed. There are not as many apps as there are for the iPad but the list is growing every day. I'm still waiting for a good Telnet/SSH and Remote Desktop app. Once I have these in the "toolbox" the PB may be a laptop killer for me! The native SDK is scheduled for release this summer as well as Android support. This should drastically increase the amount of apps available for the PB. Let me know what you think...

I picked up a playbook last week. A neat machine with impressive video resolution. The last software update killed my bridge connection and now I cannot load email attachments on the playbook from the bold. Hopefully they sort that out soon.

There was a bridge update for the phone last night followed by an update to the Playbook today. If your having problems open a support ticket with RIM. It's free!

The play book is lacking in my opinion. Especially after I used a xoom.

Tablets, android is the clear winner. You can do anything with them... Literally.

Honestly, I haven't played with the Xoom. I'm not too happy with the Android stuff and will not be until they address several of the security issues with their apps. The BB PB's latest OS will be available in Feb. It will allow the installation and running of Android apps in a secure "sandboxed" area so that if they are "bad" they have no access to the rest of the tablets OS and files.

One of my favorite things about the PB is the bridging feature if you own a BB phone… The bridging allows you to surf the Internet and run most applications that require Internet access while bridged with you Blackberry. This allows you to use the Blackberry’s data plan without incurring and additional costs such as the outrageous costs that tethering a device seem to result in with most providers. This feature works very well and the provider has no way of determining that the data traffic on your account is comming from your PB vs your BB phone. Although Public WiFi is more readily available I'm sure most of us can admit that it never there when you need it!

From what I've read the PlayBook is half baked out of the factory.
Does some stuff ok but really crippled in other areas like not being able to do email on it without hooking it up to a BB phone.

The BB phones I have had all had that same kind of feel - they did some stuff ok but other stuff was like a badly planned afterthought.

blackberry needs to update some things on the playbook, but for the most part its fuctiionality is by far better then the ipad 2. Multi tasking is a must. I use mine daily, and love it. Once the apps start to hit this thing from android, it will be epic.

Apple Zombies piss me off. Apple make a so so product, but has way better marketing. I know guys who own every apple product possible, that includes mini, nano, classic, touc, ipad, i phone every gen, macbook ect. Drinking the punch every day. Idiots

Haliburton is dropping corporate Blackberrys and moving over to iPhone.
RIM is going to have to start giving courses in anger management to their employees and customers in the near future or they will be dropping dead from heart attacks.
