Went for a drive out to bighorn dam, made a loop down the bottom of the spillway, signs everywhere prohibiting motorized vehicles where we used to quad, and then up to the top by the dam, couldn’t get real close but looked like solid cement cubes blocking access to cross dam.

is that still shut down out there from Nothead? Or are the signs just not taken down?

I thought the spillway always had no quadding signs. But the trails across the dam were good to go.

My son was out there fishing and asked a game warden they said the trails across the dam will open based on condition and water run off. If my memory is correct couple years ago there was blocks there there also

trails generally are closed in that area until the beginning of July..... with the AOHVA getting a pocket of money hopefully the BHAS has been able to secure some funding to fix some of the trails in the area.

When i was there last summer there were blocks across the damn, but at the right front corner there was a space large enough for quads/side by sides to go through to get across the dam

I talked to some people on this. It will remain this way. It is part of the access agreement trying to restrict widths of machines on the trails (aka keep Jeep's and trucks out)

went to bighorn dam last September, camped there for a few days, most trails have been well groomed, all boardwalks are gone, i think the with is 65 " for access across dam , my commander is 60" and it just fits.
