Like is says. I am converting my cutler stroker 1100 to carbs and would like to know what were the biggest mm flatslides made by mikuni? I know cutler makes big ones, but I like how easy the mikuni's are to tune. Maybe the cutlers are not that bad to work with? Any help would be great. I think the biggest Cat used are 40's but they can only be bored to 44's and I don't think that is big enough for this beast.:beer::d
Thanks

I have seen flatslides bored as big as 52. You can get them big enough, there are carbed twins out there bigger than 1100.

Looks like the crankshope is offering them in the 54mm versions as well. They can bore a 44mm to 48mm.

Hope that helps.

Crankshop makes some big carb also. How big do you think you need? Going big might give you a hair on top but lose big time throttle response. You drag racing or riding?

Carburation - The Crank Shop Vermont Specializing in Ski Doo Performance Aftermarket Products

If I do this I want it for riding. I hate bogs and want throttle response. I also don't want the power to fade out on long climbs. Thats what I am running into right now with the efi. I am running a boondocker with stock 46mm efi bodies. It seems to die off on a long pull and the sled is more finnicky to temp and elevation then any carb mod sled I have ever had. Just want to ride it instead of screwing around with it. My 05 snopro 800 factory mod is supposed to be real "finnicky" race only motor. Though from 2000 feet to 8000 feet all I do is click the variflow 1 or 2 clicks and ride it. Runs very consistant with the 40mm mkikuni carbs.:d

Crankshop carbs are mainly used for drag, so i'd stay away from them, mikuni makes a "Pro Series" TMX carb that can be bored to 42mm safely, Aaen has taperbored these to 44mm but i can't give you any feedback on them. Roundslides you can get bored up to close to 50mm. I'm not sure if they fit but you may want to try your 40mm rackslides to see how they work. I'm trying a different carb and going to give some 44mm Lectrons with pro-jets a try on my mod triple. Higgins.
