I'm sure JT can beat the Americans.
Dont blame Harper. (I know it's tough for left wingers to learn the facts). Ontario, Quebec and BC have debt levels close to the total federal debt. Remember that these three provinces have in the last 30 years have almost exclusively had liberal or NDP governments, and while incurring these massive debt levels have never contributed to the programs that the Feds provide ( eg defence, pensions, EI, etc). The debt levels that these socialist provinces have rung up have been solely to provide services to their own citizens, not those in other provinces.
The maritimes combined owe about 40 billion, and up until the end of 2015 Alberta and Saskatchewan combined owed around 7 billion (strong conservative provinces).
Under the new Alberta NDP government, we will add probably 10 billion or so to those numbers, and our new prime minister PROMISED in his election campaign to raise debt and deficit numbers. Actually PROMISED to raise our debt and pass economic hardship onto our children!!! And guess where he got the majority of his votes to form his govt, you got it, the three most debt ridden provinces I listed above. For some reason, people in BC, (granted, mostly lower mainland) Ontario and Quebec are incapable of realizing that you can't spend your way into prosperity. Absolutely fu$$ing incredible.
Yup, blame Stephen Harper.
you never know but I find it amusing how everyone praised Harper's government on good fiscal policy but it is the exact opposite.
????????? I never mentioned Harper.
It's you that needs to research the reality. It wasn't the current BC govt that racked up almost 200 billion in debt, it was all the socialistic liberals and ndp before it, although I'm sure the current liberals are doing their best to add to it. The sad part is that despite all the money BC has borrowed over the years, there's little to show for it. The road system is third world, most interior towns and cities are run down and struggling financially, jobs are lower paying than most other provinces and social assistance costs are among the highest. All this despite all the natural resources there and it being one of the most beautiful parts of the western world. Sad.

Yep 527.3 Billion out of the total 692 B ?
No it really is you. Good spout off but BC only has about $66B in debt not $200B as you claim.

Alberta debt is around 19billion now? If so thats pretty poor management by the consetvatives considering the boom the province has gone through.
Lets face it all governments suck at running things.
