Big Horn Dam Closure

Any word on the Big Horn Dam riding area being closed on the May long weekend until July 1/08

it is closed form april 1st to july 1st. this is a new shutdown. supposed to be temporary. i guess the area got to rutted and such last year when it was wet.

Yup there were enough idiots and morons out last may long in that area 4X4'n in a mud hole making a mess of the grazing area. Farmer was really pissed about the mess. The news had pic's of beer cans laying along a creek and a snow fence that had been erected as a barrier to keep quads and trucks from driving thru the creek. Fence was knocked down. Burned out truck abandoned, destroyed tent and furniture left behind. Inconsiderate morons like this ruin it all in a hurry for everyone.

Sad thing is you can't blame them for shutting it down after crap like that. If people would have just a little common sence then there wouldn't be any issues.
