im going to be building a lightweight climber over the next year or 2 out of a rev chassis. and im having alot of problem picking a motor. i was looking into the 860 motor but it seems everyone has that. is there something bigger that will bolt onto the 800HO 800R that is more powerfull. i dont mind doing jetting if it wont work with dpm.

If you have a 800HO with powertech, we offer a 900cc big bore kit. As for the 800R, we offer an 880 right now but there is a 960 currently being developed.

What about 800HO with out powertek, how big and how much power? What about reliability?

You can still do the 900 kit without powertech. We have done this kit on both these motors, they both produced 164hp. The only difference is that the non powertech motors didnt seem to last as long as the motors with powertech. As for the 960 kit, we haven't been told any sort of price, and as far as availability, that will depend on the time taken to development the kit.

Does this use stock jugs or are they new jugs? Or do the stock jugs get sleeved? Just curious as i have not seen one of these kits myself.

Could always do a cat based bigbore.

TURBO CAT i mean haha

Really? Most Turbo kits I know of run at least $6000. Not to mention the install and set up. Big bores usually cheaper. I can buy a big bore kit for a sled I'm building for about $4200 and will run 230 HP and install it. This is not including the cost of the initial sled purchase.

It all depends on what motor you want to start with, what the initial purchase price is and how big you want to go will determine the final cost. It might be cheaper to buy a whole sled to get the motor that you want. :)

Lots of 900 cat engines floating around and LOTS of hp can be made with a big bore on this bottom end. Not to mention the weight savings and just my opinion here but a pump gas turbo whats the point. Your adding weight and its easily acheivable to get the same gains from a bigbore cat as you would with a pump gas turbo, minus any additional weight. Just a thought
