Only 15 years behind everyone else but it sounds like it might be a solid machine. Under-powered still probably but hopefully they move this trans design into the Rincon and get rid of that POS tranny it runs!

Funny they got the displacement wrong?? Rubi has a bigger bore and is 499cc not 476 like the foreman. I bet with that tranny it smokes the Rincon and has lockable front diff. I want to look at one as I will be picking up a new foreman in a month or so.

Nope they dropped the whole Hondamatic crap altogether - engine and all.
They are using the 475 that was in the Foreman S/ES. Only about a 5hp drop and considering the amount of power lost in that slush box they had in the Rubi before it probably won't even be noticeable. With the addition of EFI it might even be better. It's still at the bottom of the hp range compared to the other 500 and 550 machines but hopefully the power transfer through the trans makes up for that. Doubtful though....
The didn't do a damn thing to the Rinny except add emissions crap so I would bet that engine/trans combo may be on it's way out. Hopefully to be replaced with a twin and DCT combo that meets emissions without all the extra crap and a serviceable tranny that isn't a turd.

Even a rincon with low range a 5 sp dct power steering and lockable front diff would be nice.

Id buy one and keep the foreman for plowing and hunting. Never should have sold my Rincon, it took 5k to make it work but was way more fun to ride than a foreman or my outlander.
