Thats not how warranty should work.... I realize too often it does but seriously.... you spend 13K on a new sled less than 2 seasons in and the compression is dropping like creampuffs at a weightwatchers convention and they are trying to scare you into not doing anything about it... the squeeky wheel gets the greese..... Start a thread on here denouncing the "dealers" service prcatices, contact another dealer and BRP and don't take no for an answer....

Exactly how i felt. Why would i buy this warentty when they arnt going to fix it. And then i heard that they make a decision at the dealer if ts warrenty and dont actually send the motor in.

One of the sales Persons friends 08 (Which is out of warrenty by 3 Months) Primary fell of Busted the Crank off the Motor last Weekend, and he was there last night to pick it up with a new short block and clutch covered by BRP.

Where do you start and who do you Beleive?

this is the issue exactly. you really have to take most people stories with a grain of salt.

i know of people that have put aftermarket primarys on their machine and when the crank stub broke they wondered why no warranty?

but ive been told this many times. dealers LOVE warranty work. going to get paid, keeps the cash flowing, and the mechanics busy.

so if it is a reasonable request it will be covered. personally i dont think they will do anything about it unless its less than 110 psi or so.

Not sure who your dealer is but if it's not echo marine (AB Beach) maybe give those guys a call, they were helpfull with my rebuild and I didn't even buy anything from them. Retodd is quite happy with their service as well.....

I have had a good experence with Ecko Marine out here at the beach too, they are all good guys. After everything I have been through with this sled they are my dealer of choice. They found parts others said were discontinued or could not be found.

Good luck with your Motor !
