This is what memory maps can do, they also have elevation fly-through and satelite link ups, nautical charts and shipping lanes. But you have to buy different subcriptions which can be expensive. It works with cell phone, tablets and laptops. Maps town calgary used to carry dvd's for each province not sure if they still do though.
