Best Riding Boots

I phone them to ask about that, they said i had to pay to replace the soles as that is most likely what is going on, leaking through the stiching ........I have just put them in the trailer for spares and have gone back to the old green dunlops.... people look at you funny by they are warm and dry

That's cause they never had Dunlop before. They are great boots but just don't like how your pants slide up around then when walking in deep snow.

I just checked out FXR's site. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't see a BREATHABLE, waterproof liner in any of their boots. I will gladly pass on the BOA system to have a boot that is as dry at the end of the day as the start. My feet perspire a lot throughout the day and non-breathable liners just don't cut it.

Considering their Jackets/Pants only have a laminate that has a breathability of 8k, I would be very surprised if they bothered with making their boots breathable. 8k is awful!

I've got Klim boots and nothing but good things to say about them! Feet are warm and dry at the end of the day!

Dunlops. With zippy ties to hold my pants down. Feet never get wet or cold unlike my buddys Klims(don't know what model). Lol i should try a set of Stompers one day...

I used Klim Adrenaline last season and very happy with their performance. Warm and DRY. The only issue, is that I should have done that years ago.
I tried the Stomper2 but didn't like the fit, to me it seemed like a big work boot (each to their own).
Also some have complained that the soles wear on the sharp runnin boards, but after 1 season on the Pro, the soles still look new.

I run HMK voyager the only boots out there that fit my giant size 16 feet. On my second pair now, I got 3 seasons out of my first pair. With 2000 km each season.

One of the things missing from this discussion is the importance of the proper socks! I have paired my boots with Klim mammoth socks. Around $30 a pair but they work amazing.

^^ THIS!! Anyone who has wet feet in Klim boots have either stepped in a deep creek (I did end up standing in a shallow creek last year, and I didn't get wet) or are sweating like crazy, and probably wearing cotton socks. My feet sweat like crazy, and my feet are never cold or wet feeling at the end of the day. I wear super thin technical socks (Wigwam Ultimax) and I never have problems. My boots do feel damp at the end of the day, but I expect that because I know how much I'm sweating, and even Gore Tex can't keep up.
I would put Klim, Motorfist and HMK all in the same group of good mountain boots. Just go buy the one that fits your foot the best.

Sledders are by far the worst for proper dressing/layering in the mountains. I can't believe the number of guys I see in parking lots who have a cotton t-shirt and/or cotton hoodie on underneath their gear. If you wear cotton you are just begging to be wet and cold at the end of the day.

3 seasons on my Klim Radium GTX and going onto #4. Wanted a REALLY stiff boot to protect the recovery on broken ankle and they've been fantastic.
Also wanted a removable liner since I'm notoriously always warm and sweaty. Fantastic boots IMO. Usually wear a really thin dri-wear sock in them from Work Wearhouse and have never felt wet.


Haven't compared to the Stompers yet, but haven't had a reason to.

I've been wearing Klim Adrenalines for 4 or 5 years. Great boot even after you lose it in a creek and have to pour the water out. Bought a pair of Stomper 1s at the show. Couldnt pass up them up for $99.
Wearing the right socks is key.

Good old green baffins for me. Never wet feet. Not the warmest on the coldest days but getting chicken to ride then anyways. One day i will try some modern boots. Probably not

I have the Radiums and the Stomper IIs, both are awesome boots. I like the radiums for the removable liners as my feet sweat a lot when riding and I have an easier time drying them out overnight, once I started the day with slightly wet Stompers (I didn't plug in the boot dryer before passing out for the night) and felt like my feet were swimming by the end of the day. I have zero complaints about the Radiums and only bought the stompers because I wanted something more that style for when I'm on the Timbersled, kicking over a CR500 in the snow isn't the easiest. Both boots now see regular duty on the sled.

I have stompers, first gen. I wear poly socks with them, i sweat alot, they are damp but not wet nor do i get cold feet.

I use this every night in the hotel to dry them and the gloves for the next day. Worth its weight in gold.

over 200 days and they are pretty much done ...

many days are 10 or more hours in them. I basicly live in them in winter. never worried about my feet til they started leting water in on top. I snowboard in them too, and that has contributed to the wear and no doubt the wetage.
soles are great and boot is great for kicking the crap out of snow in running boards and those pesky hippy skiers ...

all my sask buddies ride in dunlops and luv them for summer and winter. nice boot, but more $ than a sled boot !!!

small tear/wear mark on side is from bolt in tunnel.
both boots broke same lace loop inside of ankle, no biggy. if I duck tape them my feet stay dry, other than that they have done me well.
