Best Hull for jet boat

I have the 12. Tried the 8. Liked it to haha. But do yourself a favor. Don’t wait. You will never find the perfect hull. A boat that runs the river perfect will not handle the big water perfect. It’s the nature of the beast.

I like the bratt hull. Unfortunately the inside was less then desired.

Yah this is my take on them as well. Nice boats here they work good. But the inside is not up to what fire fish is. Same as outlaw. Nice boats but the interior is the same as the old boats and for the cost it should be nicer.

yeah maybe , but the post asked about the best Hull. Not who could put the most ribbons and doo dads in it. Compare a Timberwolf or Bulldog compared to any hammerhead when running, same degree same length and power , way way more efficient and clean thru the water , less drag , less spray , less rpms at same speed , it’s really a no brainer.
But yes I agree, if it’s bling and groovy decals and fancy seats , the Firefish look nice.

I got to run with a few Bratts this season and I think some of what Len says is true but not all imo. The bratts do run a bit dryer than the fish, for the simple reason that the bratt has there 270 liters of fuel at the back under the bench seat. The hammerhead has 320 liters of fuel split between 2 tanks on either side of the boat just behind the driver and passenger running down the gunnel 4 feet. As far as Cruise speed didnt notice much difference between the two. So for the the same price why wouldn't you want a

Oh and for 19 foot with a 7 foot bottom packing 320 liters and normal running gear i think this is pretty acceptable, this was a upper Brazz day trip and full throttle across the lake on the way back. This is one of the fancy Firefish doo dads you get for the same money.

I'm definitely biased but I will say the custom work Eagle is doing these days is catching up to Firefish. Very tough to compare apples to apples when 75% of these boats are custom ordered and built for 1 guy

I agree that last blue boat they did was nice, and the one that they are doing now looks real good.

Nice boat . Looks good ! We’ve all ran with lots of different Firefish and lots of different Bratts Chris, and have seen lots of comparisons , full of fuel and low on fuel. both good boats with very similar traditional styling, and you bet FF seems to add a lot of colour and fish cut out things and extra features, and that’s great. The question was , the best Hull, and IMO, the Bratt is a better Hull. The bling and doo dads are cool , but have nothing to do with the way it moves through the water . Your old boat is up here now so we’ve all seen how it runs and compares also. Not bashing at all , we run with a ton of FF up here , we run with hammerheads , stingrays, all different power and pumps , compared to many other brands , and all have their strengths and weaknesses. I had a FF Hunter , loved it but it was 12 degree , with a 250 optimax , worked great but don’t like SJ, awesome Hull though. Apples to apples , the Hammerheads almost always run more rpms to stay same speed, Hull just carries more water , that’s why they work well in shallow . As I said not bashing just stating observations.
Would be very interesting to compare the actual (not builder stated) weights of your boat and the Bratt you posted pics of , same fuel same power and pump .
