#1 Belt- Changed at 900 miles only to break in a new belt(#2). No Issues with Belt #1 and kept for spare. Sled has always held 8150-8200 RPM

#2 Belt- 800 Miles, This past weekend, sled all the sudden would only pull 7800rpms. Rode two days like this. On sunday I pulled both clutches to clean and inspect. All looked good. I put my spare Belt#1 back on and went for a rip..........Wa-La 8200rpm. I measured the widths of Belt#1 and #2 and they are the same. I have to assume the Diameter is the same as my deflection did not changed.

Anyone have any ideas as to why this would happen? Belt Glazing perhaps?

Could be. I kinda started to see similar symtoms after 1000 miles on my first belt was only pulling about 8000-8100 where before would be 8250. so figured might as well break in belt number 2 so swapped and now pulling like it did before. have a few hundred miles on this belt now still good. thought maybe i will have to shim the clutch for the other belt but i did not measure to see if their is a difference. get it wet and spin it a bit?
