Belt issues

650 V2 2006 (Kawi Motor), i have had many problems with my belt, have brought the quad to like 5 diff. shops, to get it looked at when i first get it back it runs grreat, after a couple weekends it starts to slip an the grindin starts when i put it in gear...
Couple of times id be doin about 30 Mph an it will like completely slip..
whats the problem...
springs??? got new ones put in.
belt?? hope so, it was at the shop.
clutch is done??? i dont know how to tell

belt flips? Take your cvt cover off, start it and see how everything looks when you hit the gas (in neutral). It almost sound like when you hit the gas your primary is pushing your belt over cock eyed instead of pushing it further up in the pulley. You might want to try and re-enact the 30 mph slip with the cvt cover off but you'll have to be careful.

Or maybe your secondary spring is really weak and its not grabbing the belt properly? im more familiar with a wet clutch style system

what springs did you get installed? what size tires you running? is the grinding noise in the belt or tranny?

im runnin, 26's (10-12, 12-12) mud lights an the grindin is the tranny, i checked all the linkages for the shifter all is tight, the grindin sounded like when ya grind a gear in a veh.

mabe something in the trans is close to seesing and thats the sipping problem...kind of have to go back to kiss...... keep it simple stuipd..... with the trans noise and slipping....

I put a burn spot on my first belt and I would have sworn the noise was in the tranny, Pulled it apart and couldn't even really see any damage to the belt but could feel it with your fingers where it got hot was hard in one spot. Have you changed your belt? if you have a slipping problem it may have damaged the belt. Just a thought:beer:

yeppers, changed in the spring at rapid revolutions when he did my snorkle kit, an just changed like month a half ago in Drayton..so i dont know whats goin on,
